The thinking of America has changed to such a degree that our freedoms and liberties are being taken away and few are saying anything about it. To make sure we understand what America once had more of, lets define our terms. Liberty is the state of being free within a society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's way of life, behavior, or political view. Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. When the government begins telling you what to eat, where to buy health insurance (Obamacare, if you're wondering), and taking one's property because they think it can benefit others in a better way, judges silencing the voice of the people, we are losing the very freedoms and liberties that our Founding Fathers died for.

As Americans, we have the right to live out what our Founding Fathers designed. As Americans, we have the right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. As Americans, we have the right to demand that our elected officials follow our Constitution or they will be fired!  If America is to be the exceptional nation that it has always been;  We need a BREAKTHROUGH in Washington, DC. We need some RE-ENGINEERING in Washington, DC. We need a NEW NORMAL in Washington, DC.  To accomplish this, we must return to the principles of our Founding Fathers. Those principles have been time tested and are what made America an exceptional nation! Those principles are the Biblical principles that were once respected and honored in America and God blessed us for it. That is why America has always been an exceptional and the most unique nation in all the world.

 
Few realize that progressive taxation, inheritance taxes, capital gains taxes, government welfare, and the stacking of debt (to name a few) are not Biblical principles. Personal financial responsibility is a Biblical principle ignored by our elected officials. The Biblical principle of rewarding the person who does well with what they are given is the opposite of what our leadership desires today. How about the Biblical Principle that teaches that those who can work must work.  The mass majority of Americans use to live by the Biblical principle of putting other's needs ahead of their own! Today, our elected officials live by the principle of self centeredness for the purpose of personal gain. This is immoral and must be confronted and done away with.

America continues to lose freedoms because of what Benjamin Franklin knew was true when he said: "Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom." If we don't hold our elected officials to the moral principles of our Founding Fathers, we will continue to lose our freedom and liberties until we become what our Founders had left behind. We are seeing this happen more and more each day. How much longer will we wait before we stop it?
