The vote to raise the debt ceiling was not only foolish, it was immoral. The leaders of our nation continue to 'play' the American people like pawns.  The three tactics used are fear, confusion and division. It is easy to see that when major decisions must be made that could 'destroy' our country as we know it, these three tactics are implemented slowly a few months ahead of the vote.  This recent vote is nothing less than what Senator Coburn stated, "The American people lost and the politicians won."

One ariticle stated this:

"Title III of the Act reads the 'Debt Ceiling Disapproval Process.' Under this title Congress has transferred to the President the power to 'determine' that the debt ceiling is too low, and that further borrowing is required to meet existing commitments, subject only to congressional 'disapproval.' For the first time in American history the power to borrow money on the credit of the United States has been disconnected from the power to raise revenue." The US Constitution's Article I, Section 8, Clause 2 vests in Congress the power "to borrow Money on the credit of the United States." Now these Republicans have handed their authority carte blanche to a President they say is unqualified to oversee the economy."

How much longer? We've asked this question for years yet we continue to send the same people to Washington. This is one of the biggest reasons I am running for District 2 U.S. Congress. I operate from the standpoint that truth is always true, whether we like it or not, whether some time of pain may be associated with it. We have allowed our leaders to bury this nation so deep into debt, the pain will only grow greater the longer we wait.

It is not too late to turn our once great nation around. But it will absolutely require some key people who have the influence to help in the process.  I am a pastor who stands on truth each day and I will stand by the American people, if elected, not the Washington establishment. Lets do something completely different this time around. It may be one of the few times we have left before our leaders destroy our nation.
