Will we do the same thing again?
August 9, 2011How many years have we all said something to the effect, "If we only had more conservative leaders in Washington!" I know I have said it more times than I can remember. As I pondered this thought recently, I realized that we will never have enough conservative leaders in Washington because there are too many liberal states. But don't be discouraged, we live in a nation where 75-80% claim to be a Christian. No matter what one may think about the percentage, what it does tell me is that the majority of Americans claim Christian roots. If that's the case, then why do we have all the problems we do?
It seems to me that since we can't get the number of conservative leaders that we need to make moral changes, then we need to encourage other Christian leaders, like our Founding Fathers understood, to make moral decisions. If we don't send someone who has the background to encourage them to do so, will we not keep getting the same old results? How long will we continue to say, "If we only had more conservative leaders in Washington?"
Lets send a message to Washington that we are not putting up with their immoral decisions any longer. It's time not only to send a candidate of Biblical principle, but one who teaches Biblical principle every week. Isn't it time to send a pastor? Have we not tried everything else?
